About Havruta
Havruta is an association for LGBTQ+ men on the spectrum of Jewish religious observance. We work for community empowerment and for the acceptance of LGBTQ+ people in religious society.
The association works to build a proud, strong and united LGBTQ+ religious community. We create a home and communal space for religious, ultra-Orthodox and Masorati LGBTQ+ people as well as those from a religious background who are no longer observant. Havruta holds events around the Jewish and Israeli calendar with cultural and social activities for community members, and brings a religious angle to events of the LGBTQ+ community.
About the Group
Havruta's group for English speakers is a space for English-speaking LGBTQ+ young men in Israel from a religious or Masorati background to meet and to discuss religious and LGBTQ+ topics.
The group is open both to those who are in the closet and those who are out of the closet.
